When God’s judgement comes, there will be no turning back.
Luke 17:5-37
Genesis 19:12-13
In John’s vision…you will get a feeling for the absolute horror of this final judgement for those who do not believe. Picture it. Carefully the lamb opens the sixth seal (Really 6:12-17). Suddenly, choas grips the universe. An earthquake shakes the entire world, no Richter scale could measure it’s fury. There is a complete eclipse of the sun….
The would is trembling with terror. The great cities collapse. John sees kings, princes, generals; the rich, the mighty, slave and free – every human being left on the earth running to escape the horror of God’s final judgement. They flee to mountain caves. They cower behind rocks and boulders. But there is no escape. Desperately they cry out, “hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the lamb! For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?” (Revelations 6:16-17).
There will be a day of Reckoning when God closes His books on time and judges every creature, living and dead.
– Billy Graham
When God decides it’s time for judgement, is there any room for doubt about what he is doing? Will there be any doubt about his coming judgement? How does Jesus’ warning about his coming judgement affect your everyday life?
