DNA’s Great Glen Walk
Nine of us completed the walk, 74 miles across the Great Glen, setting off from Fort William and six days later arriving, weary but happy, into Inverness. The last couple of days had been a genuine challenge, as the walks became longer, higher and harder.
We reflected as we went, taking time together and alone to consider our lives before God, looking at Scripture and our own experiences. There were some special moments, notably on the Wednesday when the goodness of God and the beauty of His world brought us to prolonged silence.
We also did this for DNA, to raise money for the work of DNA in Scotland. Many friends sponsored us and we are so grateful for this.
We are still fundraising towards are target of £10,000 for the work of DNA in Scotland. Please do click on the link below if you are able to donate:
Hannah Bywaters ‘It was a wonderful reminder of the many joys of sharing the journey of faith with others’
Jo Nicholls ‘I arrived exhausted and depleted and left revived and with my heart so full’
Ally and Guy will be leading walks as spiritual reflections again…….If you want to make sure that you are kept informed of future walks, possibly one day, possibly over two to three days or walks like the Great Glen Way that last a week then do let us know so you don’t miss out.
